Since construction started on December 19, 1993, it was put into trial operation in the end of September 1999, and commercial operation on December 28, 2000. And National Quality Reward on Coal Mine Construction was gained for the engineering construction of Jining III Coal Mine.

        The coal produced by Jining III Coal Mine is prime fat coal, characterized by low ash, low sulfur, low phosphor, high calorific value, high volatility, and can be used as prime steam coal and blending coal with coking coal.

JiningNo.3Coal Mine is located in the southern portion of the Jining coalfield and covers an area of 105.1 square kilometers. JiningNo.3Coal Mine has adesigned annual raw coal production capacity of 5.0 million tonnes. The main coal seam of JiningNo.3Coal Mine is divided into two leaves. Thethickness of the upper leaf averages 1.21 meters and the thickness of the lower leaf averages 4.91 meters. As of December 31, 2013,the total in-place proven and probable reserves on the main coal layer were approximately 203.5 million tonnes.

JiningNo.3Coal Mineprimarily used the longwal top coal caving method to extract coal from three work faces asof December 31, 2013. The main pieces of equipment used in JiningNo.3Coal Mineare slanted wheel, cyclones and movable-sieve jig machines,which were manufactured in the PRC. The principal products of the coal preparation plant of JiningNo.3 Coal Mineare No.2 Clean Coal andthermal coal.
